Our Parish: A Sanctifying Spiritual Home

Who we are

St Christina of Tyre is a vibrant parish formed in Fremont in 2004 to serve the Tri-Cities area and beyond. The parish acquired and moved into the current building in 2009 and has been worshipping there ever since.

Our community is diverse and includes a mix of those with Slavic, Middle-eastern, Greek, Romanian, North and South American, and Asian backgrounds. We are converts and cradle Orthodox; young and old; single and married; in established families and young families. We come from all walks of life and are united in our love for our Lord Jesus and committed to "stir up one another to love and good works" (Hebrews 10:24).

Our parish is under the omophorion of His Eminence Benjamin, Archbishop of San Francisco and the West, in the Orthodox Church in America. More on our hierarchs and clergy may be found on the Leadership page.

What to expect when you visit

Our services are in English and our hymns incorporate styles of various Orthodox traditions.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, we offer a set of refreshments during a casual fellowship hour. If you are able to stay for a bit, we would love to meet you!

More on the Orthodox Christian Church may be found on the Orthodoxy page, or see our Contact page on how to reach us. Our Calendar page contains a service schedule and upcoming save the dates.
